Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
Building Fire
My question is that when the apartment building you live in is involved in a fire what kind of assistance is the landlord required to offer. This is a low-income building.

Re: Building Fire
Check your lease for a "force majeure" or "acts of God" provision. It depends on who the landlord is, how much damage the fire caused, and who caused the damage. The law may also change depend on what city you live in.
