Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
Can a
I was contacted this afternoon by my current (soon to be former) landlord. Last week, the courts ruled that I must vacate the premesis by the 18th of December. The judge also said that they could not ask for any money (that section of the court document had to be crossed out by the plantiff's attorney). Can the landlord still ask for money? Why would the landlord try and contact me? This is in Chicago, Illinois.
Thank youfo your help.

Re: Can a
Why was your landlord contacting you? You don't really make that clear, but I'm guessing it's an attempt to get you to pay? Also, why did the court say the landlord couldn't get money? Was it decided that the landlord can't ever get a money judgment or just that the pleading was not sufficient to get a money judgment? That would effect the answer to this question.
