Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
I entered a verbal agreement with the owner & she was to get me a contract. i paid $3000 down $300 per month for over 2 years she never got me a contract so all i have is text to prove i was buying and a partial contract with our names on it that she posted online. I also repaired the house and paid taxes. The owner had become untrustworthy so i told her when i got my contract id make the payment. Instead of getting a contract she shut my power, water and heat off knowing i have 3 kids in there and its freezing outside so we were forced to move. im trying to get my things out but ive not been served an eviction & they are having family members call me wanting me out. I was wrongfully evicted what can i do?

Find an attorney immediately. Based on your facts all you may have with nothing in writing may be a month-to-month tenancy that the landlord is illegally dispossessing of.
