I was evicted from my appartment. after living there for seven months, for being late with my rent. Now they are takeing me to court and makeing me pay the remaining months on the lease. Is this legal?

When you were evicted, was there a court order at this time? Typically courts in Illinois do not grant rent past the time you were evicted. Are they also going after damages? If you were behind on the rent at the time you were evicted, you may want to try to work out an agreement as to the amount that you owe.
