Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
My ex-landlord of two months signed for my UPS package, opened it and put it in my apartment without my permission. I gave him a 30-day notice and moved out. Now I would want to recoup the money that I spent on this apartment. Can I sue him for a portion or all of the $1,300 that I spent to get into his apartment? Also while I signed a 6-month lease, he never gave me a copy of the lease.
