Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
My friend told me I could stay at his apartment for 1 week. I did not sign a contract and lived there for that period of time. Now he is asking me for $100 and will not let it go. It was my understanding he would let me stay there for free. Now he is threating me with a lawyer. It seems like a trivial amount of money to argue over but I am short on money at the moment. Any advice?

I would try and work this out amicably. It will most likely cost your friens more than $100 to hire an attorney!!
