My husband and I are roommates but not on the lease. Can we be evicted verbally by September 1st?

Based on your zip code you are in Kankakee. Whoever is on the lease can be evicted, and whoever lives in the apartment can be evicted (along with). The landlord can ask people to move, but in the end the answer is no, the landlord has to give proper notice and then if everyone doesn't voluntarily move out, the landlord must follow statutory procedures -- lock-outs are illegal.
