Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

When a judgment to vacate has been issue through eviction proceedings, and there is a stay until a specific date, does the tenant have to allow the landlord to show the property to other prospective tenants during this period, especially when the landlord is hostile? If we are not able to be home during "showings", how would we know that the landlord, who has been threatening, will not hurt our pets or damage property or take property because he is owed money? Thanks for any help.

With proper notice, you are required to cooperate with the landlord to let them conduct the showings. While you are still in possession of the premises, they should not show the property without some reasonable prior notice to you .
