New Landlord
My new landlord wants to change my rent from $700 to $800. My existing lease is not up until March, 2004. Is this legal?

Re: New Landlord
If you are in your current lease, the landlord shold not be able to change the amount of rent that you pay. It would be interesting to know his justification for changing the rent.

Re: New Landlord
Unless your written lease give the landlord the right to change the rent during the term of the lease the landlord CAN NOT change the rental. He can only do so when he negotiates a new lease with you after the current one expires.
