Landlord Charge Two Different Rents For Identical Apartments
My downstairs neighboor thold me that he pays $725.00 for rent...he and is wife just moved in 3 months ago the apartment was totally rehabed before thay moved in...I have been here for almost 3 years my move in rate was $795 I now pay $850 I am a single parent is this fair...Our apartments are identical....I also know of a nothing family with same identical apartment they pay $900.00 per month. These buildings are owned by investors, with a remote management company. Can they charge whatever they want?

Yup. They sure can. As long as there is no discrimination they can charge what ever they want.
