I do not have a lease agreement. Can my landlord still charge me pentalies if I'm late with rent?

Re: Landlord Lease Agreement
Hello. Since you do not have a lease, you are a month to month tenant. If you are late in paying your rent, in my opinion, the landlord can charge you late fees. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
