Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
my landlord just rented to a family who has two pit bulls..which have tried to attack me twice..is it legal for them to be there? I'm in Chicago, IL.

Landlords can allow pets. But pets can be a nuisance. You can notify the landlord and the police. If the landlord takes no action you may have other options depending on what you want to have happen - stay but the dog goes, or get out.
