Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

Landlord/Tenant Contract: I (tenant) given my thirty day notice that I will be moving out no later than June 1st. It turned out that I thought I would be out by May 31st, but on that day the truck wasn't big enough to put everything in it and I had to travel about 700 miles and back for the rest. I informed the landlord that I had to come back and would as soon as I unpack in new place. When I got back for the rest of my belonging the landlord without notice charged me for three days when I wasn't staying in the place. Can I get my money back that the landlord took out for rent of my security money?

Not sure I understand the time line exactly, but it sounds like your possessions were still in the premises after 31 May. If so, I would say it was very reasonable that the landlord only charged you for three days, since generally, the landlord would be entitled to the entire month if you did not vacate by the end of a month.
