Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
Landlord/Tenant Issues
I rent a house from a couple who live in Florida. They seem to think that since they own the house, they can come here as they please and stay for weeks, living up in the attic. Their son who has a dorm at college just came here last night and said he's staying the weekend. This is very inconvenient. Do I, as a renter, have any legal rights to tell them this is unacceptable?

Re: Landlord/Tenant Issues
Yes you do. Assuming that you are renting the entire house from this landlord and there is no special provision in the lease for other tenants (such as the college student), the landlords cannot enter the premises without permission.
