Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
Landlord/Tenant Law
Can I sue a Property Corporation that claim ''Time Well Served', and 'Will Enhance Your Life'' if you now live there and it is a living hell, Every Day?
Tenants from Hell with Pit Bulls, Squirrels nesting in your car, Management is non engaging, and just overall want more money. Everyday, you have to take care of something in regards to your tenancy, your car, your neighbors, or Management's attitude. Can we sue or are we just suckers?
Also, this has distracted me from nonprofit work that I was supposed to be doing resulting in monies not gain of 8,396,000 dollars, because everyday it's something. On Mother's day I was suppose to grieve for my mother, I found myself moving furniture out, as it appears the neighbors upstairs are from HHEELLLL and well we can't trust leaving our belongings in the apartment. Can we sue or are we just Suckers?

Re: Landlord/Tenant Law
The landlord has certain obligations to you as a tenant, such as maintaining the premises in a sanitary and safe condition, preventing other tenants from creating nuisances and unhealthy conditions, taking reasonable precautions against criminal activity, etc. When the landlord fails to fulfill its responsibilities, you have limited remedies available, like termination of your lease. You need to find out if Schaumburg has a residential landlord/tenant ordinance and what the rights and remedies of it are. If you hate the place so much, why not move?
