lease clause

I have a 1 year lease. I can not find anywhere in the lease that I have to give notice. My LL says that it is a ''clause'' to the lease. Is this separte from the lease, would I have signed this?

Notice is governed by your lease payments if there is no other clause in the contract - therefore, if you pay monthly, you must give a month's notice, weekly, a week's notice, etc.
