Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
I have a lease under my name and I lived with my boyfriend. I moved out early and my boyfriend did not pay the last month of rent and forgot to cancel the electricity bill. Is there any way I can hold him responsible?

You can certainly try. You could sue him, and then if you win, you will need to figure out how to collect.

If you can prove an oral partnership that you shared expenses you may be able to recover his share.
