Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
I live with the roommate and our lease, which will be automatically renewed, expires at the end of November. It looks that my roommate has an intention to move out but she didn't tell me anything, even when I ask. Can she move out at the end of the lease without informing me? Can one roommate give notice to the landlord without the other one knowing when the lease is renewable? I don't know if she talked to the landlord, but I just don't want to end up with the new lease and paying the rent alone. What will happen to the security deposit? We don't have any roommate agreement.

It depends on whose name is on the lease. If your name is on the lease alone then her moving out won't affect anything.
