Moved out of a house back in march. Now getting sued for damages that my roommate has done since then. What can i do

Settle the lawsuit and sue your roommate for contribution because if you also signed the lease you are liable for ALL the damages unless the landlord agreed that each of you was liable for only half the damages, and that agreement would have had to have been in writing.
