Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
I moved out of a house in march. I had not had a lease since October of 2009. We owed the landlords moneybut they kept telling us not to worry about it and pay them what we could. Now that I've moved out all of a sudden they want money from me. Am I responsible if I didn't have a lease and they kept telling me not to worry about it?

Sure. If you owe money, you are responsible for paying it.
