Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
when you are renting a house with a lease, can a landlord enter the property whenever he feels like it without notice, or does he have to give notice first, my landlord feels he can because he is a lawer.

You need to look at your lease. Most leases give the landlord the right to inspect periodically or to show the house to prospective tenants or buyers. But most leases also provide for some kind of notice except where there is an emergency need to get in.
