Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
My security deposit
I am moving at the end of July and I would like to know what the law says about normal wear and tear on a property. I put $1,500.00 down when i moved in and would like to know what to expect when the landlord decides what he will do. I will be cleaning the carpets and walls along with regular cleaning during a move.

Sounds like it is under control. You just need to try to place the property back in the condition it was received in subject to normal wear and tear. Even cleaning the walls would be more than expected probably unless they are specifically dirty (pets, etc.)
