Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
I signed a lease for office space in 2004 and in this lease it stated that I would owe a particular amt of money toward a new sign for the building. This sign would include spots for every business located in said building. However, until recently they have done nothing about getting a new sign. Now, they are planning to put up this new sign and my lease is up in just over a year and I have not yet decided as to whether or not I will renew this lease. Am I still obligated to pay this full amount as stated in my lease.

It depends on the EXACT wording of your lease.
I cannot give an informed opinion without reading the terms of your specific lease.
Consult with an attorney.
