Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
when a tenants frig stops working and the landlord pays someone $80 to fix it and it still doesn't work,what happens next? it's been days and we lost $200 worth of food.Still no working frig. They came in the house and searched every room when we were'nt home.Don't they have to give a notice and do they have rights to open our childrens doors and snoop?

The repair people should have had to tell you or the landlord when they were coming. Whether the landlord had to tell you depends on the terms of the lease. The repair people only had the right of access to the area where the frig was.
