Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
My trailer park manager just informed me I have 5 days to get rid of my pitbull. Its not a city ordinace is there anything I can do?

Check your lease. The dog may be covered separately as a pet and there may be pet rules that can include breeds, etc. If the dog is being considered a nuisance, that may be a contestable issue. But the lease also should state what kind of notice is required (5 days, 10 days, 30 days....?). But even if they gave the wrong notice, ultimately they'll get the right notice in front of you and if they consider you a "pain" you might find your situation worsen, so the best course of action would be to go to the manager AFTER you educate yourself on your lease, and see what's what.
