Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
Wrongful eviction
Do I have a case against my landlord for an eviction that I feel should not have happened? There also was extension property loss and damage.
Thanks

Re: Wrongful eviction
It depends on the details of the situation. There are certain situations where you can receive compensation if wrongly convicted and can prove your damages.

You can sue anyone for anything, but being able to succeed is a different matter. You should talk to an attorney about the specific circumstances surrounding your eviction, and the losses you suffered with respect to your property. Or post a more detailed question on this site so people can give you a better answer.
