Is pain and suffering a consideration in a settlement between client and financial advisor?

Probably not. Pain and suffering comes into play with physical injuries. Unless you've got a cause of action against your financial advisor for beating you up or running you over or the like, it's not likely.
However, you may be entitled to punitive damages depending on the facts of your case and the cause of action you are asserting.
