i recieved a check via ups i dont know why this person sent it what should i do

Are you an attorney? You should probably contact whomever is named on the check and ask why it was sent. I would be a bit concerned about just ignoring the check simply because there might be someone out there that thinks he has paid you to be his lawyer - which could get you in trouble if you fail to represent him.
