Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois
My doctor gave me expired birth control pills.
I was on the birth control shot for three months, I decited it wasn't for me and told my doctor that I would be more comfortable with the pill. He agreed and that day put me on the pill without even giving me a pregnancy test. He told me that there was no need for a test because my shot would hold me over until the pills kicked in. My doctor then gave me expired birth control pills, which he had taken out of the package and looked at with me in his office. He called me a week and a half later and informed me that they were expired and to get my new ones immediately at the pharmacy. I'm now pregnant. What can I do about this?

Re: My doctor gave me expired birth control pills.
Hello. Assuming that your doctor was negligent,
you have a medical malpractice claim against
your doctor. You need representation; you need
a lawyer. You must be mindful of the statute
of limitations in this area. There is a three
step process to getting this matter handled. I
will be happy to answer any additional questions
that you might have.
