Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois

Are some of the doctors responsible for what happened to my Mom

My mother fell was taken to the E-room she had damaged her spleen this was on Sat. they missed it. Said she could have a cracked rib took an x-ray sent her home. On the following Tue. she went to her family doctor he did blood work & examined her still missed it. Went back to the same dr. on Thur. finially did a cat scan & found it. Did surgery/went through the surgery fine had lost 2 liters of blood in stomach. Her surgeon had to leave for the weekend. Family doctor took over the case o2 level kept droping/87%o2 for 1 night and day before he vented her. She then had ARDS(small country hospital) When surgeon came back on Mon. recommanded to send her to larger hospital. Went to large hospital they saved her life. Due to large blood loss she went into 4th stage of ARDS lucky to be alive. Memory loss due to lack of oxygen/ in rehab learning to eat and walk again. Do we have a case against the E-room doctor & Dr who waited too long to vent her?

Get this case reviewed, it might have merit

This is the type of case, where, on the facts, given, you say "this just should not have happened."I would certainly take this case to a medical malpractice attorney in your area for review and evaluation.

Have a malpractice attorney look at the case.

You should talk to a malpractice attorney about this. As you might imagine there are a lot of facts that have to be considered when deciding if there is malpractice. From what you have posted it appears that you very well may have a case. You should be able to find an attorney that would talk with you for free for the initial consult. Most malpractice cases are done on contingency. If you would like to you can call me at 1-800-838-0800. I would happy t review this and get you to an attorney if I can't help.

If you do nothing at least get the case reviewed.
