Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois

essure procedure

Recently, my wife went to get the essure procedure done. During the procedure, the doctor accidently put a hole in my wifes uterus with the camera. The doctor said the hole would heal but the procedure could not be done. Afterwards, she was in pain for some days. Could this be a malpractice suit?
