Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois

I was submitted to the ER at Delnor Community Hospital last night for a head injury from losing consciousness and hitting my head on a bathtub. I was unconscious for over a min. and woke up forgetting how this happened. My friends drove me to the hospital where I was submitted and I felt very neglected by the lack of interest in my injury by both the staff and Doctor. When the Doctor arrived at my room all that was asked was what happened, I simply said I fainted and hit my head. He put 14 stitches in my head in a very quick manner and failed to request what my level of pain was or if I would like an xray to make sure I did no have internal issues. He didn't ask if any other parts of my head or neck hurt, how bad tthe pain was, or anything else showing concern and professionalism. I am curious if there is something legally I can do to pursue the lack of concern and what I felt to be needed assistance and evaluation.

Please let me know what I can do. Thanks so much

Jayme

You can complain to the hospital and to the Joint Accreditation Committee. Unless you have suffered damage from their conduct you do not have a medical malpractice case.
