Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois
last summer 2009 i was shot in the chest and was in the hospital for 2 weeks with chest tubes. i was then released, quickly i started feeling really bad i had high fevers, coughing, and other symptoms. i scheduled an early check up because i couldn't take it anymore and after the check up the doctor told me i was fine and would get better. about 3 days later i only felt a lot worse so i went back to the doctor and this time by a different doctor i found out something actually was wrong with me i had pneumonia and an infection in my chest. do i have a case or anything?

You need to have a physician review the records and advise whether the treatment that you received met the standard of care. If not, you need to be able to explain how substantial your damages are. If the standard of care was not met and you have substantial damages an attorney might be interested in representing you.
