changing MOS

my boyfriend is in the Navy and was lied to more than normal by his recuriter. he was told that he could change his MOS while in boot camp and found out he couldnt. His recuriter promised him that he would be able to sign up for the nuke program, which he qualified for, but to no awail he cant get in and is stuck at the same base that he grauated from boot camp from. he has been there for a while now. what can we/he do to change his MOS so he can go to the nuke program??

Something is amiss here. Your boyfriend should make an appointment to see a Navy lawyer at his local Naval Legal Service Office. He can find the phone number in the base telephone directory. Good Luck!

Based on the information that you have provided, your boyfriend should not take this matter to the Navy JAG. Having spent many years in the Navy's JAG Corps, they are only going to refer your boyfriend to discuss a change of MOS with his command career counselor. The command career counselor is the one who can assist your boyfriend with changing his MOS.
