Legal Question in Military Law in Illinois
Desertion
I am a deserter from the Army. I have depression issues and the like that have worsened from the day i joined the military. i was seeing a military counselor about these issues, and also have these issues documented with a local mental health agency. i understand the seriousness of my offense, but at the same time, i HAD to get out of the army before something serious happened. i just need to know what to do and if there is any hope to be discharged quickly, or if im looking at a prison sentence.
