Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

I was in an auto accident hit and run 4 years ago, i wrote down the license plate number to the driver and then the polie trackk down the car from the plate i gave to the same vehicle that hit the car and left the scene. we recently had an arbitration that eventually ended up in the defendants favor, now the defendants insurance company wants to settle 4 a certain amout i which i wouldn't walk away with much! i want to know the odds of going to trail?

There is no way to answer that question. It is like asking what are the odds of you winning at Poker if you were to go to Vegas. In arbitration you presented your case to three persons who knew the law and heard you and the other side. At trial, you will tell your story to 12 strangers--there is no way to know who they are--and it is impossible to even begin to predict anything about trials. Generally, and I say that to my clients, a properly conducted arbitration is a good measure of the strength of a case.
