An attorney's office failed to file a paid judgement at the courthouse causing us to pay a higher interest rate for 3 years. Are they liable for any compensation on our behalf?

No. An attorney has no obligation to file a paid judgment. It is your responsibility to make sure it is done. Usually attorneys do so as a courtesy but not as a matter of law.

Please repost this with more information concerning whose attorney are you referring to, yours or the judgment creditor's. Also, was their any correspondence where an attorney indicated he or she would file the relase of judgment? Please repost with this information.
