Re: financila amount liability

In Illinois there are two ways you can file a claim. One is in the "Law Division" for cases that are worth $50,000 or more, and the other is in the "Municipal" department where cases are filed for less that $30,000.

The choice of where to file depends on the subjective feeling of the attorney and the nature, extend and type of damages involved. There is no formula but according to the realities any broken bones get to go to Law Division and any "soft tissue" injuries get sent to Municipal. In a broad sense that is the only formula that can failry be counted on.

I hope this helps.

There is no set amount. The monetary value of a personal injury case is determined by numerous factors, including the damages suffered and the likelihood of winning a judgment at trial. To get more specific information about your case, please consult with an experienced attorney.
