Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

My husband had an accident in February 13, 2009 it wasn't his fault. 2000 Ford Taurus LX. He had Yale Insurance fully coverage. The other person said they were insured , but when my insurance company check and my husdand check they were not insured. Our insurances told us that, they do not cover uninsured vehicle which was the other car is that right. My car is not fix yet. we paid our insurance every month before this happen.My husband was thinking about filing a claim against the driver. i want you to tell me is that right or what to do.

Your insurance policy most likely does not have Uninsured Motorist coverage.
