Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

injured at basketball game

my 19 month old daughter was at ymca with parents and was watching basketball game a boy playing basketball ran out of bounds and dove into her to get ball. we were way out of bounds. she fell hit her head and was knocked out for a few minutes. we went to emergency room and she was dazed and confused for about 3 hrs catscan came back clear. we now here the ymca has a lawyer and we was wanting to know if maybe there was something wrong and they are trying to cover their butts

Hello. The ymca board may feel that it is in the organization's best interest to alert their attorney concerning the matter. The issue is whether the ymca had a duty of care which they breached and resulted in your daughter's injury. It is probable that the ymca is covered by insurance to cover injuries to visitors, but it is questionable whether any claim by you would be successful. Fortunately your daughter has recovered.
