An insurance company made an offer and I turned it down, that was in July. How long before a second offer is made?

You may not get another offer.

If you do not already have a Personal Injury attorney, I suggest you retain one immediately.

Calll or email me if you would like to discuss.

The insurance company has no obligation to make another offer to you. Once you reject an offer, that offer becomes null and void. At this point, you can call them and try to see whether they will raise their offer-if not, your only next move is to file a lawsuit.

If you decide to file a lawsuit, you would be well advise to get an attorney to help you out in this matter--there is no way you can even hope to win anything going it alone against the insurance company's lawyers.

You may not get another offer. Every case has a Statute of Limitations, in most Illinois Peronal Injury cases, it is two years. If your case is not settled or filed in court within 2 years, you are barred from ever pursuing it. They may be waiting to see if you take too long to pursue your case.

Once you have turned an offer down, they do not have to honor their prior offer if you change your mind, nor do they have to make you another offer. However, usually they will if you contact them.

Hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you have additional questions. I will be happy to provide you with a free telphone consultation if further clarification is needed or other questions come up. Good luck.
