Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois
I was involved in a multiple car accident in the snow. A car lost control on a bridege and ended up sideways blocking both lanes. 2 other cars were almost at a stop in front of the first car. I put on my brakes, but the snow was too much and I started a slide. I slid into the middle of the two stopped cars and clipped the car to the right and then stopped almost in front of the car to the left. A bus then slid into the left car(which is now behind me), hit it which then hit me, which in turn pushed me into the original car that was sideways.
I ended up getting a ticket for-
-failure to reduce speed
-false reporting(trooper did not believe me that I was struck from behind-my bumper had no dents, but does have scratches in the paint) What should be my next step?

If you want to fight the ticket you will need to retain a traffic attorney to go with you to Court and fight the ticket.
You can try to do it yourself and plead not guilty, but it will be long shot--unless you know about the court process and the proper objections to make.
I hope this helps-
