How long does it take
I got hurt at work in 1991.Third party suit filed in 1995. How long does it take to settle a case or receive a court date? Settled work. comp. already.

You don't say what kind of a third party suit has been filed and where it has been filed. Usually in Cook County Circuit Court a case may take up to 3-4 years before getting to trial. You should ask your attorney for explanations as to why it has taken so long. You can also go to the Court in which the case has been filed and ask the clerk the status or the next court date of the case. You can also do that via telephone.
