lost wages
I lost 52 hours of work due to an injury sustained on the property of a furniture store. Their insurance co. said they--name removed--only pay my medical bills not my lost wages, pain and suffering etc. Does the law permit them to limit liability to just medical bills?

It depends.
Most businesses have a "med-pay" coverage which covers ONLY medical expenses up to certain dollar amount regardless of fault. That is the store is saying: I am not at fault for your injuries, but I have this insurance that will pay for your medical bills.
Wage loss, pain & suffering, loss of normal life, out of pocket expenses etc... are damages that the store will have to pay ONCE you prove that your injuries was caused as the result of their negligence.
For the first part, you get your medical bills paid relatively without any headaches. For the second part, I suggest you get yourself a lawyer.
