Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

Pending Personal Injury Lawsuit

I was in an accident due to a brakeline going out. A person was injured because of this accident. My insurance company wants to inspect my vehicle. Do I have to let them? If so, should I get my vehicle to the shop to check it over again? What type of lawyer should I seek? Thank you for any prompt responses!!! Linda

Re: Pending Personal Injury Lawsuit

You need to allow your insuyrance company access as you have a cioperation clause in your policy. Failure to cooperate can void your coverage. Your insurer will take care of hiring a defense lawyer for you.
