Skin Product Burn

About 10 days ago I applied a liquid band aid product to my 2 yr old sons face on a small wound as the directions instructed. The next day, exactly where I put the product,his skin had turned an unhealthy color. I removed it the product as per its instructions - apply more and wipe off - and all of the skin under the product came with it. I cleaned and bandaged it with regular band aids but it became infected and he now has a skin infection that has spred all over his upper body - hes 2 so he is spreading it by scratching - we have been to the doctor - the ER and he is still covered - the infection on his face is 3x the original product wound size. The company said it is likely an allergy and has asked me to return the product and sent me a refund for it. Is it wise to return it? or cash the refund? Do I have a case. At this point we are worried about permanent scarring and he has suffered so much for what was originally a small scratch.

I think you indeed do have a case. Do not cash the refund check; it may operate as a release.
