Re: statute of limitations
For a person who is 18 years old or older, the statute of limitations for personal injury TYPICALLLY is two (2) years from the date of injury. Be advised however, that the facts of your case may change your statute of limitations, e.g., if a municipality is the defendant, if the CTA is a defendant, if you were injured while engaged in employment activities, etc.
Contact an attorney immediately.

Statute is 2 years , except as to political entities, like cities, counties ect, the statute is 1 year
Re: statute of limitations
There are a number of factors that must be weighed to determine the statute of limitations in your matter. Some types of cases must begin as early as six months. Under certain circumstances a suit need not be filed for many years.

Re: statute of limitations
2 years, unless the "wrongdoer" was a local government, in which case it is 1 year. Please consult with an attorney to discuss all of the facts.
Re: statute of limitations
The previous replies correctly state the two year date with the one year exceptions. Be sure to be deligent in this action. As time passess witnesses memories' get hazier, documents become harder to track down, and so on. Consult an attorney and protect your rights.
