Statute of limitations
Is there a statute of limitations in Lake County Ill. for collecting paid up medical and damage to motor vehicle that was rear ended. I have personaly paid medical bills and replaced the automobile out of my own pocket. The insurance company of the at fault party will not acknowledge my claim for the money owed me along with lost time wages
from work.

may be barred by the applicable statute of limitations from bringing a
claim. You should retain
an attorney immediately to
do a proper investigation.

In general, two years on the medical bills and five years on the property damage.
