wrongful death
In the event of wrongful death of a family member, beside the main person responsible for the death, can someone who may have contributed to the death indirectly also be added to the lawsuit. I.E. if said person added to the undue stress of the deceased which inturn contributed to the demise of deceased could they also be sued in civil courts, or can they be sued for cruelty, or suffering before the actual death.

I'm not sure if I understand your question - how did the person pass away? What is the relationship between the deceased and the "main person" and the "indirect person"?

What does the decedent's doctor say? This is what counts: Does the doctor contribute the death, at least in part, to something that the person in question did? If yes, then you may have a potential cause of action.
