Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
The Amli apartment is saying I owe $7000.00 in damages for what I do not know. The woman who call me said there was a fire in the apartment. There was never a fire while I lived in my apartment. I had Chicago Police Officer move me,, and he is willing to testify that there were no damages to the apartment.

Where was the fire? Where did you move to? Is this about a refund of your security deposit? Good to have a friend, esp. a police officer. Try calling back with the officer on the line. If they don't believe the two of you, get an attorney. You may have an insurance claim and maybe more.
